Goals from Bedell and freshman Marisa McLaughlin (New Milford, Conn.) sandwiched Caitlin O'Brien's second goal of the day to make it a three-score game before the Chargers added a pair to stretch the lead to 9-4 with under four-and-a-half minutes to go before the break. Wilder then scored her first goals of the game, including the second with 1:49 left to match the record and send the Penmen to the locker room, trailing 9-6.
New Haven opened the second-half scoring with a pair of goals before Wilder set the new mark with her 71st goal of the season off an assist from Bedell just 3:21 in that cut the SNHU deficit to four. After the teams traded strikes, the Chargers reeled off five straight to break open a 17-8 advantage with 10:16 remaining.
Nivala, Decker, Wilder and Duggan found the back of the net as the Penmen scored four of the final seven goals to cut the final margin to eight.
