NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Merry Harrington (Peabody, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team was tabbed the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for the period ending March 5, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
In her first collegiate game, Harrington matched teammate Kristin Wilder (Framingham, Mass.) for a game-high nine points as she scored four times and dished five assists in a season-opening 21-9 victory at Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday.
Through just one game, while other teams have played as many as three, Harrington ranks second in the conference in assists and ninth in points.
Harrington and the Penmen return to action Monday, March 13 (4 p.m.) when they take on Reinhardt University.
