The third-seeded Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team played 110 scoreless minutes against the sixth-seeded College of Saint Rose on Saturday evening at Penmen Stadium, but were knocked out of the Northeast-10 Championship, as the visitors stole a quarterfinal win with a 6-5 triumph in penalty kicks.

- Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Quinn (Manchester, N.H.) stopped all five shots that came his way for his second shutout.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- After the 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, both teams opened penalty kicks by making their first three attempts. Both squads then missed their next two, but came back with two makes. SNHU missed its eighth attempt, before Saint Rose converted on No. 8 to advance to the semifinals.
- Saint Rose's Gianni Carillo turned back all nine SNHU bids.
- The Penmen outshot the Golden Knights, 24-10, including 12-3 in the second stanza and first overtime, combined.
- SNHU also held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire is unbeaten over its last 10 contests (7-0-3).
- The Penmen, who entered the contest 11-0-0 all-time against Saint Rose at home, extend their unbeaten streak against the Golden Knights to 15 (13-0-2). Saint Rose picked up its only win in the series, which SNHU leads, 19-1-2, on Oct. 7, 2006 (1-0 2OT).
- If Southern New Hampshire does not earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament, this will mark the fourth time in six years it had its season end on penalty kicks, as well as the third time in five years that the PKs came after a scoreless draw.
- SNHU moves to 103-19-15 (.807) over its last 137 matches dating back to the beginning of the 2013 National Championship season.
- The Penmen are now 75-9-9 (.855) over their last 93 contests at home, including 13-2-2 at Penmen Stadium.
