Against top competition at Princeton, Junior Alanna Murphy (Nashua, N.H.) ran a personal best and new SNHU program record in the 400m hurdles. Her time of 1:06.94 eclipsed the mark she had set two weeks ago at the Penmen Spring Invite. Murphy also ran a 15.40 seconds in the 100m hurdles.
Sophomore Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) competed in the 800m, finishing in 2:17.46. It was the fast 800 run by an SNHU athlete this season.
Other performances on Saturday:
Sophomore Megan Decker (Durham, Conn.) ran a 12.73 in the 100m and 26.30 in the 200m races.
Freshman Zeandrea Ward (Hartford, Conn.) and freshman Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.) finished together in 1:00.36 and 1:00.37 in the 400m race.
Sophomore Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) ran the 5000m in 18:45.31.

Result: Southern New Hampshire- NTS
Senior Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) was the top SNHU runner in the 100m (12.69) and the 200m (25.59). She won the long jump with a 5.38m.
Top performers:
Senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) won two events, the discus (40.11m) and the hammer throw (42.04m). She also finished second in the shot put (13.98m).
Freshman Makayla Norton (Dudley, Mass.) finished third in the triple jump (9.93m).
Finishing third in the javelin was freshman Tatyanna Beckford (Orange, N.J.).
Junior Madison Brand (Valhalla, N.Y.) wound up in third place with a mile run in 5:24.97.
What's Next:
Southern New Hampshire will take part in the Skyhawk Invitational at Stonehill College next weekend, the final prep before the Northeast-10 Championships May 3-4 at SNHU.
