Elder Ends SNHU Career At NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships

What: 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships

SNHU Women's Track & Field senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) wrapped up a stellar career with the program with a 20th place finish in the shotput on Saturday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Elder's best throw, her second of three, measured 14.15m (46' 5-1/4").  

At the Northeast-10 Indoor Championships on February 17, Elder tossed a 15.13m at Smith College, establishing new personal and program records.  Elder's throw was the 10th best in the nation during the indoor season, according to the seeding chart released by the NCAA.  She became the first SNHU athlete to qualify for the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships.
