Penmen Run For First Time in 2020 At Prestigious Dartmouth Relays

Several members of the SNHU Indoor Track & Field team ran for the first time in 2020 at Friday's Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, N.H.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
  • Sophomore Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) ran a personal best in the 800 meter run, finishing sixth overall in 2:20.62.
  • Senior Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) finished in 9th place with a 2:21.76.
  • Sophomore Grace Henson (Cumberland, R.I.) also ran a new PR for 800m with a 2:27.23 while finishing in 15th place.
  • Corcoran, Couto and Henson teamed with freshman Lydia Mathson (Nashua, N.H.) in the 4x800 to run a 10:30.77.  SNHU came in third place in the race.
NOTES
  • Only six SNHU middle distance runners participated at the Dartmouth Relays.
  • Host Dartmouth won the meet with UNH finishing in second place.    
WHAT'S NEXT
  • Southern New Hampshire will return to action on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Smith College Mary Grinaker Invitational in Northampton, Mass.
