INSIDE LACROSSE DIVISION II PRESEASON ALL-AMERICANS
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Tyler Mello (Acushnet, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team was named an Inside Lacrosse Division II Preseason All-America on Thursday, as the publication released its annual preseason national honors. Mello earned a place on the Third Team.
A two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference and All-New England selection, Mello enters his final season on the heels of the strongest campaign of his career. He was named to the All-NE10 Third Team at the conclusion of his junior year after starting in each of the 13 games in which he appeared in. Mello collected a career-high 31 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers to anchor Southern New Hampshire's defense while also chipping in with an assist.
The Penmen open their 2020 season on February 22 when they head to Georgian Court University for a 1 p.m. faceoff. The first Southern New Hampshire home game is March 7 (1 p.m.), when it welcomes Dominican (N.Y.) College to Penmen Stadium.
