Senior Tom Blandini (Bow, N.H.), and juniors Dakota Mulcay (Goffstown, N.H.) and Sam Henrie (Middleboro, Mass.) all hit home runs, as the 23rd-ranked Southern New Hampshire University baseball team erupted for 43 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Dominican (N.Y.) College on Saturday at The Ripken Experience. SNHU posted a 33-5 victory in game one, before easing to a 10-2 win in the second game.

KEY MOMENTS - GAME 1
- Tied, 5-5, in the bottom of the third, Southern New Hampshire went ahead for good, as a two-run double from Coro and a Taveras RBI single made it 8-5.
- SNHU broke it open in a big way in the fifth, hanging 11 runs on the board, as it sent 15 batters to the plate. RBI doubles from Chavez and Mulcay, as well as a run-scoring triple from Henrie and a two-run single from grad student Joshua Goldstein (Haverhill, Mass.), highlighted the damage.
- The Penmen were not finished, however, as they trotted 16 up to the plate in the eighth and scored 10 runs. Eight different batters recorded an RBI in the frame, including senior Phoenix Hernandez (Brooklyn, N.Y.), who stroked an RBI triple and a run-scoring single, and grad student Sean Doherty (Haverhill, Mass.), who knocked in a run with a double and then was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE - GAME 1
- Sophomore Oluwasayo Kintunde (Lusby, Md.) started and gave up four runs on two hits and a walk in one-plus inning.
- Redshirt-junior Zachary Merchant (Lunenburg, Mass.) allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth.
- Southern New Hampshire pounded out 25 hits.
- LaRocca finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored.
- Coro (two walks, two RBI, four runs) and Hernandez (walk, two RBI, three runs) were each 2-for-2.
- Blandini (home run, two walks, RBI, two runs), Mulcay (two walks, RBI, three runs) and senior Dylan Faircloth (Cleveland, Texas; RBI, run) were all 2-for-3.
- Henrie and Chavez were both 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
- Taveras (two RBI, run) and Goldstein (walk, two RBI, two runs) went 1-for-3.
- Mercedes was 1-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.

- Redshirt-sophomore Jacob Hunt (Goffstown, N.H.) was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run.
- Freshman Felix B. Diaz Jr. (No. Brunswick, N.J.; RBI, two runs), sophomore Alex Kennedy (Braintree, Mass.; walk, RBI, run) and freshman Danniel Rivera (New Britain, Conn.; two walks, run) were all 0-for-2.
KEY MOMENTS - GAME 2
- Taveras snapped a 1-1 tie in the fourth with a one-out RBI single, before Henrie provided some breathing room with a two-out solo shot in the fifth.
- Leading, 4-1, in the seventh, Mulcay delivered the big blow for the Penmen with a three-run bomb that keyed a six-run inning to make it 10-1.

- Graduate student Thomas Novick (Sudbury, Mass.) allowed one run on two hits, while striking out a pair, in the seventh.
- Taveras went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored.
- Henrie was 2-for-3 with the home run, two RBI and two runs.
- Blandini finished 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored.
- Mulcay went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored.
- LaRocca was 1-for-3 with a walk and pair of runs.
- Coro (run) and Mercedes (walk, RBI) each went 1-for-4.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire improves to 4-0 on the Myrtle Beach trip and is outscoring its opponents, 64-10.
- Blandini's home run was his first of the season and eighth of his career.
- Henrie's long-ball was his first of the season and third of his career.
- Mulcay mashed his first homer of the year and the 11th of his career.
- Coro has hit safely in all seven games this season, while Mercedes and Blandini own respective six- and five-game hitting streaks.
- Praml, who entered the day with 36 career appearances out of the bullpen, made his first start.
