Sophomore Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) broke her own SNHU record with a run of 9:45.05 at BU's Last Chance Qualifier On Friday. She will await word on whether she has been selected to compete at the NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala. in March.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Sophomore Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) turned in the fastest 3,000m in program history with a 9:45.05. It's the third time this season she has established a new SNHU Track & Field mark for the distance.
- Corcoran's time is the 18th fastest in the nation among Division II competitors (as of Friday 2/28/20).
- It is an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
- Corcoran also has run a provisional qualifying time in the 5,000m.
- Senior Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) also ran in Boston, recording a 2:14.41 for 800m, just off the provisional qualifying mark.
