Sophomore Erin Gorton (Kennebunk, Maine) registered a career-high eight points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team to a 24-6 victory against Dominican (N.Y.) College on Saturday afternoon at Penmen Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire held a 6-3 lead with just over 13 minutes remaining in the opening half when it scored eight of the next nine goals to push the game into running clock with a 14-4 lead in the final minute of the stanza. Harrington led the way with three goals and an assist during the stretch.
- Dominican would find the back of the net with seven seconds to go in the half, but the Penmen made sure the clock was running again to start the second stanza, as a goal and an assist from Gorton powered a four-goal run that made it 18-5 with 23:49 to play and SNHU would never look back.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Ashford stopped six of the 12 shots she faced over the opening 42 minutes of the contest, while sophomore Caela McCartney (Arvada, Colo.) turned away the only shot that came her way in the final 18 minutes. Dominican goalie Rebecca Nutting made 12 saves.
- Senior Stephanie Barr (Lowell, Mass.), sophomores Madison Peredna (Derry, N.H.) and Kathleen Crowther (Wrentham, Mass.), and freshman Peyton Reihs (Albany, N.Y.) all produced a goal and an assist.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Dominican, 44-16.
- The Penmen also held an 18-14 edge in draw controls.
- SNHU was an efficient 7-for-10 on its free-position opportunities, while Dominican was just 2-for-8.
NOTES
- The 24 goals match the program record set in a 24-9 win at Converse College on March 25, 2010.
- The goals for Graziano, Crowther, Reihs, freshman Skyler Tautkus (Laconia, N.H.) and sophomore Aly Curran (Bolton, Mass.) were the first of their careers.
