SNHU's Track & Field team topped 13 other schools to win the Panther Invitational on Saturday at Plymouth State University.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Junior Megan Decker (Durham, Conn.) picked up a win in the 60m dash in 8.05 seconds.
- Teammates sophomore Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.) and sophomore Zeandrea Ward (Hartford, Conn.) finished 3rd and 5th respectively in 8.23 and 8.36 seconds.
- Ward just missed in the 200m, finishing second in 27.56 seconds.
- Ward and her teammates ran to victory in the 4x400 relay.
- Stroh, Ward, sophomore Olivia Coco (Bedford, N.H.) and freshman Alexarae Clark (Deer Park, N.Y.) earned the win in 4:18.71.
- Newcomer Skyler Tautkus (Laconia, N.H.) ran to victory in the 400m in 1:02.56.
- Tautkus, freshman Kelsey Peirce (Brentwood, N.H.), senior Alanna Murphy (Nashua, N.H.) and freshman Jaida Long (East Hartford, Conn.) came in third in the 4x200 relay in 1:57.23.
- Peirce had a leap of 5.04m to win the long jump and secure 10 points for the team.
- Sophomore Makayla Norton (Dudley, Mass.) finished tied for third in the long jump at 4.89m.
- Grad student Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) earned another win in the shot put on Saturday with a throw of 13.83m.
- Sophomore Bennie Alula (Hartford, Conn.) had a weight throw of 15.01m, good for second place.
- Another SNHU freshman, Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.), came in third in the 3000m at 11:19.20, her fastest time of the season.

- Southern New Hampshire will return to action next Friday at BU's David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
