SNHU Women's Track & Field Completes First Day At Northeast-10 Outdoor Championships

(Springfield, Mass.) - (Springfield, Mass.) - Sophomore Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.) ran to a third-place finish in the 10000m run as the SNHU Women's Track & Field team completed the first day of the NE10 Championships. 

Friday highlights:
Zarakotas ran the 10000m in 39:32.30.  Sophomore Lydia Mathson (Nashua, N.H.) also ran the event, coming across in sixth-place in 41.16.29.

Junior Theresa Spear (Westerly, R.I.), on her fourth attempt of six in the hammer throw, threw a personal best of 38.68m (126' 11") to finish in fourth place.  Junior Kathleen Landry (Charlton, Mass.) also was a finalist, finishing ninth with a new PR of 30.19m.  

The NE10 Championships will conclude on Saturday with the remainder of the women's events.  Spectators are not allowed, but the meet is being streamed on NE10NOW.tv and also available on the OTT App on Roku, Apple, and Amazon Fire.
