Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team was chosen as the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week for the period ending Oct. 12, the league office announced Monday.
Keith stopped 14 of the 15 shots she faced during an 0-1-1 week for SNHU. Keith made two saves in a 1-0 loss at Saint Michael's College on Wednesday, before turning away a career-high 12 shots in a 0-0 draw with No. 22 Franklin Pierce University on Saturday.
Keith has started eight matches this season, going 2-4-2 with three shutouts, a 1.38 goals-against average (GAA) and .776 save percentage. She ranks third in the NE10 in both shutouts and saves per game (4.75), fifth in save percentage, sixth in saves (38) and seventh in GAA.
Keith and the Penmen are back in action Wednesday (Oct. 15) at 2:30 p.m. when they travel to battle 13th-ranked Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
