NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman
Tristan Chandler (APO (Armed Forces-Europe)) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team gathered NE10 Rookie of the Week honors for the period ending Oct. 26, the league office announced Tuesday.
Chandler won both of his matches in a 6-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer College on Friday. Chandler defeated Peyton Meuse, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 3 singles, in addition to scoring a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, combining with sophomore
Sebastian Eckert (Wernigerode, Germany) to topple Oliver Gore and Leonardo Brezzi.
Chandler is 1-7 in singles play this season, but is 4-3 in doubles, including 3-2 in the league.
Chandler and the Penmen are now off until the spring.
