NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Two members of the SNHU ice hockey team were recognized with weekly awards by the Northeast 10 on Monday.
Freshman defenseman Aidan Rufa (Messina, N.Y.) scored his first two collegiate goals in a 6-3 win at Roger Williams last Wednesday and was named Rookie of the Week by the NE10.
Freshman goaltender Trent Boryszczuk (Novi, Mich.) earned the win in his first career start, making 26 saves in the victory over the Hawks.
The Penmen are on a holiday break and will return to the ice January 3–4 at the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational at Warrior Ice Arena. SNHU will face Connecticut College at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, January 3.
