Megan Leck (Wolviston, Billingham, U.K.) was chosen as the Rookie of the Week, both for the period ending Sept. 21, the league office announced Tuesday.
Tsui went 2-0 in SNHU's lone match last week, as it defeated Division I Merrimack College, 6-1, Tuesday. Tsui recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles against Jordan Phillips and also teamed with junior
Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) for a 6-2 No. 1 doubles victory that clinched the doubles point against Kiana Thompson and Pia Vargas-Lopez.
Leck also went 2-0, as she outlasted Vargas-Lopez, 7-6 (7-4), 0-6, 10-7, at No. 3 singles and posted a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles with junior
Nadya Lyekontseva (Kyiv, Ukraine) against Giulia Martins Cavalcante and Phillips.
Tsui, Leck and the Penmen are back in action Sept. 25-29 at the ITA East Regional Championships in Flushing, N.Y., at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
