NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman Gavin Richardson (Concord, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team earned both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors for the period ending April 14, the league office announced Wednesday.

Richardson, playing in just his second collegiate tournament at SNHU's Penmen Spring Invitational, ended Monday's opening round tied for sixth place after shooting a 1-over 71 at Derryfield Country Club. He then fired a 4-under 66 Tuesday – the lowest round of the entire tournament – to earn individual medalist honors with a 3-under 137. Richardson's performance also vaulted SNHU from third into a first-place tie for the tourney.

Richardson and the Penmen are right back at it Friday (April 17) for the opening round of the Penmen Season Finale at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord.
