Sophomore Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) capped a terrific season with a 26th place finish to earn All-American status. The Penmen, competing for the first time at the event, finished 32nd Saturday in Sacramento, Calif.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Corcoran completed the 6k course in 20:51.7, the fastest time in program history. She is the first All-American in SNHU history.
- Sophomore Grace Henson (Cumberland, R.I.) ran a 22:43.7, finishing 195th.
- Junior Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was 220th in 23:08.6, a new PR.
- Senior Madison Brand (Valhalla, N.Y.) came in 239th in 23:39.5, which also was her best career time.
- The fifth scorer for SNHU, freshman Lydia Mathson (Nashua, N.H.) was 243rd in 23:41.7.
- Also competing in the event were freshmen Sarah Zarakotas (Webster, N.H.) in 24:05.2 and Alexarae Clark, 24:25.9.
NOTES
- Adams State (23) dominated the field with four of the top six finishers, tying the lowest score in DII women's history. Stephanie Cotter won the individual title for the Grizzlies with a 19:15.5 finish.
- Stonehill College, the NE10 Champ, finished 22nd on Saturday.
