NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Jojo Wallace (Milford, Conn.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team was selected as the NE10 Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 25, the league office announced Monday.

Wallace tallied 24.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while knocking down 45.9 percent (17-37) of his shots from the field and 80 percent (12-15) at the line, during a 1-1 week for SNHU. Wallace netted a game-high 21 points (9-18 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 2-3 FT), while grabbing a pair of rebounds and dishing four assists in an 89-74 victory at Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday. He then scored 25 of his game-high 27 points (8-19 FG, 1-4 3-FG, 10-12 FT) in the second half, as the Penmen whittled a 26-point, second-half deficit down to four, before eventually falling to Pace University, 68-60, Saturday. He added six boards, two assists, two steals and a block.
 
In 17 games this season Wallace is averaging 22.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per contest, while shooting 46.8 percent (141-301) from the field and 75 percent (72-96) from the stripe. He leads the NE10 in scoring, field goals made and free throws made, while ranking in the top 20 in field goal percentage, 3-pointers made (25), 3-points field goal percentage, free throw percentage, assists and steals.
 

Wallace and the Penmen (8-10) return to action Wednesday, Jan. 28 (7:30 p.m.) when they play host to Assumption University at the Stan Spirou Field House.
