Gordon Earns Second NE10 Player of the Week Nod

Senior posted 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team garnered NE10 Player of the Week accolades for the period ending Jan. 25, the league office announced Monday.

Gordon, who also captured the award back on Jan. 5, posted 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks during a 2-0 week for SNHU, shooting 65.5 percent (19-29) from the floor, including 60 percent (3-5) from deep. She tallied 23 points – including the 1,000th of her career – eight rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 70-57 triumph over Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, and then posted 18 points (9-14 FG), 10 rebounds and a pair of blocks in Saturday's 65-60 come-from-behind victory over Pace University.
 
In 16 contests this season, Gordon is averaging 15.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per contest, while shooting 52.2 percent (105-201) from the floor and 84.6 percent (22-26) at the stripe. She leads the NE10 in field goal percentage and field goals made, while ranking fourth in scoring and fifth in rebounding and blocks per contest.

Gordon and the Penmen (10-6) are back in action Jan. 28 (5:30 p.m.) when they play host to Assumption University at the Stan Spirou Field House.
