Panaro '72, originally from Stamford, Conn., was a four-year starter for the baseball team playing shortstop and third base.  A three-time NEIBA All-Conference selection, he was also the league’s defensive Player of the Year in 1971.  Panaro led the Penmen to four straight NEIBA conference titles and batted .388 in 1970 as a sophomore.  Panaro would serve as a team captain as a senior.
